Coping strategies are actions we take - consciously or unconsciously - to deal with stress, problems, or uncomfortable emotions. Unhealthy coping strategies tend to feel good in the moment, but have long-term negative consequences. Healthy coping strategies may not provide instant gratification, but they lead to long-lasting positive outcomes. If you enjoyed (as most participants do) our mandalas, please find a copy of the mandala form here.

As we discussed in our session, be careful of anything that you are using as a coping strategy - many things are healthy in small doses, but you don't want to rely on anything exclusively.
